“Edwin is a very professional and personable guide. He provided information about Pachacamac and Peruvian history/culture that I otherwise would not have known. I was very glad to have taken this tour, rather than trying to manage a solo trip using public transportation, not only because it was pretty far away, but having Luis (our driver) take us through the enormous site was a lot more comfortable than walking under the heat of a blazing sun. Incredible historic site and small but informative museum are well worth the trip.”

“Bikes were a little old and not in the best shape. Our guide was 20 minutes late and then proceeded to take another 20 minutes bringing the bikes out. Our tour was to include a complimentary bottle of water - which we didn’t receive. We were encouraged to have an espresso while we were waiting - I thought this would be complimentary since our tour was so late getting started instead I was charged 5 soles for a cold cup of expresso. Overall Manny was a decent guide and his English was very good. Unfortunately out of the group of 7 - 3 of them were not experienced bike riders…”

“The tour guides were very knowledgeable about this area and took us through to see all the highlights. We did not bring a bottle of water with us, as it said it was included in the program. I would recommend you bring one with you, as the excavation site is outside in an arid region, where temps got pretty hot. Fascinating to see how this site works with other areas we saw throughout Peru linked via the INKA TRIAL. Museum was surprisingly modern, with the best of what has been found to date from these sites.”

The last part of your which is the magical fountains was superb.”

“We ended up going from Lima to Caral during Semana Santa week which made the drive to Caral more than 4 hours instead of about 3 hours. However the drive was quite interesting to see the variety of towns, barrios and plots of land along the way as well as the varied terrain. Caral was quite interesting with good informative signs along the paths to the various ancient structures. Fascinating to see the archeology of a civilization that was 5,000 years old.”
