“Our guides were literally the best! We couldn’t have asked for better! The only thing we would recommend to improve on. My husband and I train tickets were not seats next to eachother and the whole group was on different trains on the ride back. The bag drop off and transportation back to our hotels process could improve. There was a lot of waiting around and extra steps that seems could be done more streamlined and organized especially when participants are tired and ready to go back to their hotels. Thank you!!”

“Fantastic trip! All of the staff were incredible. The food was delicious and better than the restaurant food we had in aquas calientes. Cesar was a brilliant guide and looked after us really well. Some highlights. Salkantay mountain standing over our campsite first night. The night sky first night. The very distant view of macchu picchu on the fourth night. Some tips - you need cash in Peru. Be prepared. Altitude was a problem on the first day of the trip and medication (acetazolamide) helped those who had it.”

“the whole program was very well managed with the operator reaching out quite a few days earlier to my arrival asking for a meeting. the representative met us a day before the trip and explained in detail the itinerary as also handed over the tickets. on the day of the trip we were meet promptly on time by all the representatives at various points. the guide Keke (if i remember the name right) was very good and did not hurry us, especially as i was under the weather and explained everything in detail. overall a very satisfying journey and worth the cost one pays for the same”

“I had a wonderful time on my Machu Picchu private tour. I was picked up from my hotel on time, early in the morning. I met my tour guide, Fredi, at the site. The whole thing was just perfect. No delays, good communication, information, and very good tour of the site. The train ride was also quite something. I will recommend this trip to anyone who wants to visit the ruins on a more personal level.”

“Poor communications from this vendor. The day before, I had no tickets or meaning place or time. I was left hanging all day with no response to calls or emails. When arriving at aqua calientes… no one to meet me. Finally get a cal and had to hunt for them thru the maze surrounding the station. Requested help from Viator which was useless. They finally issued a worthless voucher for a Machu Picchu trip when you need 4 actual tickets and drivers need to be arranged.”

“The panoramic train journey provided incredible views, the organisation was superb as I was met at every point by a tour representative and I felt incredibly safe as a single lady traveller. My guide Martin was lovely and very informative.”

“The train journey was great, although expect delays as it’s a single track line and there are delays whilst waiting for other trains from the other direction to pass. Last moan about the train is that the return journey was terminated halfway back to Cusco with the final leg carried out by replacement buses. That’s no criticism of the tour operator, just PeruRail. A plus though was that the tour operator laid on a taxi when we got back to Cusco to take us the short distance to our hotel. Top marks there.
